Zi albastra


Pe rama alba, in partea de jos, ar fi trebuit sa scriu ca azi, in autobuz, pe geamul aburit cineva desenase cu degetul un Bugs Bunny ceva mai dolofan, cu urechile lasate spre stanga, ca si cum ar fi batut vantul.

Alexandra Boulat (1962-2007)

Our dear friend Alexandra Boulat passed away peacefully in Paris
on Friday the 5th of October, 2007. Alexandra's funeral will be held on Friday the 12th of October in the Church of Jacqueville by the cemetery
where her father Pierre is buried and near her family home.

Alexandra Boulat was born in Paris, France, in 1962. She was originally trained in graphic art and art history, at the Beaux Arts in Paris. She was represented by Sipa Press for 10 years until 2000. In 2001 she co-founded VII photo agency. Her news and features stories are published in many international magazines, above all Time, Newsweek, National Geographic Magazine and Paris-Match. She has recieved many International Awards for the quality of her work.

Boulat covers news, conflicts and social issues as well as making extensive reportages on countries and people. Among her many varied assignments, she has reported on the wars in former Yugoslavia, the Israeli and Palestinian conflict, the war in Iraq, Afghanistan at the fall of the Taliban, and the Women condition in the Islamic world. Other large assignments published in National Geographic include country stories on Indonesia Albania, and Morroco.

La ce se uita Andreea






Daca cineva ma va intreba la ce se uita Andreea atunci cand am fotografiat-o, ii vor raspunde: la un card de pelicani. Unii cat se poate de chipesi, cu ciocurile pline de pesti hraniti cu rame, muste si aripi de libelule albastre; de grei ce erau zburau la joasa inaltime, mai aveau putin sa ne atinga cu varfurile aripilor, insa ne-am ferit, pentru ca la drept vorbind nimeni nu vrea sa capete vanatai si zgarieturi pe frunte. Daca pasarile s-ar fi hotarat sa aterizeze pe camp, oamenii ar fi venit sa le fure pestii ca sa-i prajeasca in tigai, inecati in ulei rafinat de floarea soarelui, in bucatariile lor galagioase, cu gresie, faianta, termopan si frigider mare cat usa. Asa cred, pentru ca cei mai multi de la mine din oras sunt in stare de asemenea fapte, ba de unele si mai si. E suficient sa-i vezi cum se imbrancesc in autobuz, cum se injura, ca sa ti poti imagina cum jefuiesc pelicanii, furandu-le platicile si carasii chiar din ciocurile inchise. Am senzatia ca am mai scris despre asemenea lucruri neplacute. Nu sunt sigura. Cert e ca atunci cand merg cu autobuzul ii "vad" capabili sa se bata pana si pentru o rama. Cu pitigoii.

Dar Andreea nu se uita dupa pelicani, nici dupa pitigoi, ciocanitori, ciori, nici dupa avioane cu motor, fluturi, parapante, baloane ori parasutisti, de fapt nu stiu la ce, pentru ca erau doar nori pe cer, unii vatuiti si scamosati de soare, poate ca in spatele lor se ascundea ceva, ceva de care eu n-am avut stiinta. Intr-o sambata nu foarte indepartata (in urma cu 75 de zile) un american fara simtire (ca sa nu spun altfel) si-a legat de sezlongul pe care statea mai mult de 100 de baloane, si pentru ca erau umplute cu heliu, s-a ridicat in cer mult de tot, al naibii de mult, la o altitudine de 11.000 de picioare (nu stiu cat inseamna asta in metri). Ar fi putut sa ma ia si pe mine! E adevarat, i-ar fi fost necesare mai multe baloane. Kent Couch se numeste zburatorul si mi-ar placea ca cineva sa-i spuna ca data viitoare sa faca bine sa ma invite, pentru ca asa ar fi politicos. De cand ma stiu mi-am dorit sa zbor atarnata de o umbrela sau de un balon obisnuit, din acela pe care il tii de ata, asta de dinainte de a fi auzit ca in anumite carti exista o Mary Poppins si ca peste ocean, in vazduh, pluteste americanul Kent Couch
